2011 Medicare Deuctible and Coinsurance Changes
This upcoming year is bringing changes again to Medicare's Deductible and Coinsurance. Here at Medigap Select of Texas we want to make sure that you are aware of the changes and are kept update with how Medicare's Part A and B coverage works for you. Please not that the chart above only represents what changes will be occuring from the 2010 calander year to the 2011 calander year, this chart does not represent the full coverage benefits from having Medicare's Part A and B.
As for your cost of Medicare Part B, most Medicare beneficiaries will continue to pay $96.40 in 2011. For beneficiaries that currently have the Social Security Administration withhold their Part B premium will not see an increase in their Part B premium for 2011.
Any other Medicare beneficiary, the standard Medicare Part B monthly premium will be $115.40 in 2011. This is an increase of 4.4% over the premium for 2010. The increase in the Medicare Part B premium for 2011 is caused by the possible increases in the costs associated with Part B.
In 2011:

New Medicare Part B beneficiaries will pay $115.40, due to not having the premium withheld from their Social Security benefit in 2010.

Medicare beneficiaries the do not currently have the Part B premium withheld from their Social Security benefit will also pay $115.40.
For higher income beneficiaries, they will pay $115.40 plus an additional amount based on the income related monthly adjustment amount or IRMAA. To find out more about your Medicare Part B premium, please contact the Social Security Administration at 1-800-772-1213 or visit them at www.ssa.gov.
